Available in Beast and Nano versions, the standard Sensorfield transmitter leverages state-of-the-art rechargeable battery technology used in electric vehicles and satellites. Its high-capacity energy storage supports uninterrupted operation through months of darkness in extreme latitudes.
Not much larger than the Beast (shown), this rugged transmitter can collect and deliver sensor data for more than ten years. Long operating life is achieved through Sensorfield’s expertise in optimizing hardware and firmware for ultra-low solar power consumption. The interior is encapsulated in a solid, non-permeable resin. This ensures that the unit is impervious to any environmental shock or weather condition.
Sensorfield’s harvester transmitter enables true maintenance-free operation through a ruggedized current transformer and advanced power-harvesting circuitry. Even at extremely low current levels, the system delivers near real-time, per-minute data.
An integrated backup battery provides more than a year of autonomous operation if harvested power is interrupted. As with all Sensorfield transmitters, it supports both Sensorfield and third-party sensors.
